Dr. Lars Buttler

Dr. Buttler is a leader in private equity and venture capital financing and innovation who is recognized for his specialization in technology and cybersecurity.

Dr. Buttler is Chairman of Madison Sandhill, a leader in global technology and innovation financing. He is also Chairman of BENS U.S. National Cyber & Technology Council and a member of BENS U.S. National Energy Council. Dr. Buttler is Co-Founder of Trion Worlds, one of the world’s premier games companies, served as Associate Director for Leveraged Buyouts at The Carlyle Group, and as Founding President of Wingcast Europe and Signant, a joint-venture of Peugeot-Citroën, Renault-Nissan, Ford of Europe, and Premier Automotive Group.

Dr. Buttler earned his Doctorate in Engineering from Dortmund University, supervised by Professor Paul I. Barton, Lammot du Pont Professor of Chemical Engineering, Energy Faculty, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and received an MBA from Harvard Business School as the Boston Consulting Group’s Thomas Petersen Scholar.
